Financing opportunity: 1st possibility – COP – Action 123 Knowledge Transfer Partnerships;

Eligible activities/expenditures:

  • Knowledge transfer through:
    • direct assistance to help companies, including those which did not have collaborative activities with research organization, to identify (from the expertise available into the research organization) opportunities that can be useful for their business needs (development areas);
    • regular specific events to provide project ideas for those companies that have been involved in research-development-innovation projects with a research organization, where there are invited members of academic teams (teachers / researchers) that are leading research activities in collaboration with the industry;
  • Enterprises’ access to facilities, installations, research equipment of the research organization in order to perform analyzes, tests, experiments, required to develop new products / technologies / new or improved methods;
  • Partnership activities (RDI or collaboration services offered by the research organization) whose implementation period varies from short-term consulting up to R&D projects (collaborative or implemented at the request of the companies), including specialized staff detachment from the research organization to the company.

 

Financing opportunity: 2nd possibility – COP – Action 114, Project type: Employing staff with advanced skills from abroad

 Project value:

  • Maximum 9.000.000 lei;

Non-reimbursable grant percentage (of eligible costs):

  • Industrial research – 50%;
  • Fundamental research – 100%;
  • Experimental development – 25%;
  • Preparatory feasibility studies for R&D activities – 50%;

Eligible activities/expenditures:

  • Industrial research activities;
  • Experimental development activities;
  • Activities concerning development of preparatory feasibility studies for R&D activities;
  • Activities to obtain, validate and protect industrial property rights (only for research organizations and SMEs);
  • Information and publicity activities for the project (only for research organizations);
  • Project management (only for research organizations);

Types of eligible expenditure:

1. Expenses with fundamental / industrial research / experimental development activities:

  • Staff costs (researchers, technicians and supporting staff to the extent that they are employed under the research project):
    • Salary costs;
    • Travel expenses in order to obtain project results;
  • Expenses for acquisition of tangible assets, with the extent and for the period used in the research project (if such instruments and equipment have a lifespan longer than the duration of the research project, only the depreciation costs during the project implementation period calculated on the basis of good accounting practice are eligible):
    • IT and communications equipment;
    • Equipment and tools for research;
  • Expenses for acquisition of intangible fixed assets:
    • Technical knowledge;
    • Patents;
    • User Rights;
  • Expenses with the procurement of services:
    • Research services;
    • Consultancy and equivalent services used exclusively for fundamental / industrial / experimental development research;
  • Depreciation expenses for buildings and facilities, with the extent and duration of use of these buildings and spaces for fundamental / industrial research / experimental development;
  • Expenses for rental of land to the extent that it serves to the realization of fundamental / industrial research / experimental development;
  • Expenses with the procurement of substances, materials, plants, laboratory animals, supplies and similar products necessary for developing fundamental / industrial necessary for / experimental development;

2. Expenses with preparatory feasibility studies for R&D activities;

3. Expenses for obtaining, validating and protecting industrial property rights;

4. General administration costs (overheads).
