Romanian Government, to develop activities in specific interest fields such as: investments in technology or R&amp;D investments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A\u00a0<strong>SME <\/strong>(Small and medium sized enterprise)\u00a0is an entity that meets cumulatively the following conditions:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">has an annual average number of employees lower than 250;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">has an annual net turnover up to 50 million euro, correspondent in lei, or holds total assets that do not exceed the equivalent in lei of 43 million euro, according to the last approved financial statements.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Funding for SMEs is ensured through the following programs:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Competitiveness Operational Programme 2014-2020 (COP)\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>continues the investments of the Sectorial Operational Programme\u00a0Increasing Economic\u00a0Competitiveness 2007-2013, and has a total financial allocation of almost\u00a0<span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>1,3 billion euro<\/strong><\/span><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>financing mainly investments in R&amp;D sector.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Regional Operational Programme 2014-2020 (ROP)\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>continues the programme with the same name from 2007-2013 programming period, has a total financial allocation of almost\u00a0<span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>8,25 billion euro<\/strong><\/span>,\u00a0and supports investments mainly in equipment\/constructions.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>Large Infrastructure Operational Programme 2014-2020 (LIOP)\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>covers the two programmes from 2007-2013 programming period (Transport and Environment), has a total financial allocation for the 2014-2020 programming period of almost\u00a0<span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong>11,6 billion euro<\/strong><\/span> and SMEs can use it to fund their investments in energy and energetic efficiency.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"background-color: #f2f2f2;\" width=\"680\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u21d2\u00a0To
